"Dr. Amy Pickens of ALIGNED Purpose LLC along with her colleague Soraya Latiff beautifully served the Achieving Excellence Academy (AEA) Black/African/African-American student affinity group this Summer! We could not have dreamed up a more thoughtful, culturally-competent, and loving partnership in ALIGNED Purpose that consistently prioritized the AEA mission/vision/values embedded in our AEA Student Experience. This included an ALIGNED Purpose curation of hands-on, experiential learning opportunities, and cultural excursions that facilitated AEA students' deepening in their racial and cultural identities. Our AEA high school students emerged from Dr. Amy's teachings and affinity experiences feeling a deep sense of connection to the Black/African/African-American Denver Community, and feeling empowered to further explore their own cultural curiosities and desires for continued (whole child/whole self) growth and development.

The AEA is hopeful for ALIGNED Purpose's continued engagement and affinity partnership in many years to come. Asé."
